This section provides information on registration requirements for vendors or contractors who are interested in doing business with SACOFA.
Please be informed that SACOFA vendor registration requirements are subject to change from time to time.
Company Registration:
- The following entities – duly registered with Companies Commission of Malaysia/Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM)* are allowed to register as SACOFA Panel of Contractor (s);
- Sole Proprietorships.
- Partnerships
- Private and Public Limited Companies; and
- Foreign Registered Companies.
- A foreign company may carry on business registration in Malaysia by either:
- Incorporating as a local company with SSM or
- Registering the foreign company in Malaysia with SSM (Section 562 of the Companies Act 2016).
Minimum Technical Criteria
- Valid certification and license for each category of work applied where applicable (MOF/PKK/ CIDB/UPKJ/ SESCO/ etc.);
- Products/solutions (Goods) must comply with the international standards, including certifications such as ISO 9001, ISO 27001 (Information Security);
- Vendor to have minimum (3) years' experience related to the respective category.
- Vendor to provide evidence of successful project experience within the last three (3) years.
- Vendor to have an established local support facility, including trained technical staff.
Note: Eligibility for participation in SACOFA procurement activities shall be based on the categories approved and any further legislative requirement as stipulated in each respective tender document.

- Vendors are required to attach softcopies (in .PDF) of supporting documents during registration, where applicable.
- Required documents required for Private & Public Limited companies:
- Latest 3-years Annual Audited Financial Report.
- Trade License from Sarawak Government or your local authority.
- Company Profile from the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM)

- Required documents required for Sole Proprietorship & Partnership companies are as follows:
- Business Name Registration - Extract of Registration of Business Name (Pengesahan Pendaftaran Nama Perniagaan)
- Company Profile.
- Valid Trade License – Form 1
- Financial Information - Past three (3) months' bank statements, copies of fixed deposit accounts' statements, savings accounts' statements, certified copy of secured overdraft facilities, and amount of balance of overdraft facilities did not utilise.
- Past Experience / Products supply (MANDATORY) - Past projects performed / list of products supplied, etc. related with category of contractor / supplier with full details of track record – project title, scope, year, location.
- Other supporting documents where applicable:
- Company Registration Certificate from the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM)
- Change Of Proprietorship or Partnership - Document evidencing change of proprietorship or partnership
- Registration Certificate - e.g. UPK, PKK, CIDB, SESCO, etc.
- Plant and Machinery
- Quality System Certificate(s)
