On 9 April 2026, SACOFA underscored its commitment to community development by contributing financial assistance to several local institutions during the Berjarah Raya di Desa 2026 hosted by the Ministry of Utility & Telecommunication Sarawak at the Dewan Pembangunan Sebuyau. The event was attended by SACOFA’s Chief Executive Officer, Jafer Sadig Abdul Lathiff, together with the SACOFA’s management team and staff.
The contributions were presented to Pusat Pemulihan Dalam Komuniti (PDK) Sri Ruai Sebuyau, PIBG SMK Sebuyau and PIBG SK Tuanku Bagus Sebuyau, reflecting SACOFA’s continuous efforts in supporting grassroots communities, particularly in the areas of education and social welfare. The effort forms part of the company’s broader corporate responsibility agenda aimed at uplifting local communities across Sarawak.
The event was officiated by the Minister for Utility and Telecommunication, YB Dato Sri Haji Julaihi bin Haji Narawi, and brought together key stakeholders from government agencies and industry players. SACOFA’s active participation not only strengthens its role as a key enabler of Sarawak’s digital infrastructure but also highlights its commitment to building strong working relationships while contributing positively to community development efforts.
