Last week, SACOFA welcomed delegates from the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) and Multimedia University (MMU) for a courtesy visit aimed at exploring potential collaboration opportunities in talent development, professional training and industry-academia engagement.
The delegation was led by Mr. Scott Kueh, Director of MCMC Kuching Branch, accompanied by Ms. Ruhazila Abidin and Ms. Nur Adlina Hosni, Deputy Directors from MCMC’s Human Capital Division. Representatives from MMU included Dr. Bahma Sivasubramaniam, Senior Lecturer and Organising Chairman II of the CTPR Masterclass 2026; Prof. Puan Indahsah Sidek, Advisor of the CTPR Masterclass 2026; and Pn. Farah Wahidah Rusdi, Head of Corporate and Support Business, MMU Cnergy and Project Manager of the CTPR Masterclass 2026.
The visit served as a platform to introduce various professional development initiatives, including training programmes, the Certified Telecommunications Professionals for Regulators (CTPR) Masterclass and potential collaboration programmes that could benefit industry professionals and stakeholders in the communications and digital sectors.
The courtesy visit concluded with a networking session, reaffirming the shared commitment of SACOFA, MCMC Academy, and Multimedia University to foster collaboration and strengthen industry capabilities for the future.
