SACOFA and ZTE Forge Strategic Partnership to Accelerate Sarawak’s Digital Future

On 2 March 2026, SACOFA Sdn Bhd signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ZTE Corporation during the Mobile World Congress 2026 in Barcelona to accelerate Sarawak’s PCDS 2030 and Digital Economy 2030 vision. The MoU was signed by Jafer Sadig Abdul Lathiff, Chief Executive Officer of SACOFA Sdn Bhd and Li Peng, Account Director of ZTE Malaysia Sdn Bhd.

This strategic collaboration between SACOFA and ZTE Malaysia demonstrates a long-term commitment to providing innovative and sustainable telecommunications solutions for the state of Sarawak, with a focus on expanding reliable connectivity to rural and remote areas.

Moreover, ZTE’s solutions and SACOFA’s state-wide network modernisation initiative are aimed at accelerating broadband access to homes, longhouses, schools, healthcare facilities and enterprises, particularly in areas where conventional fibre deployment presents logistical challenges.
