SACOFA and Worldsensing Partner to Advance IoT Innovation in Sarawak

On 2 March 2026, SACOFA Sdn Bhd signed a strategic MoU with Worldsensing, S.L. to explore IoT solutions using SACOFA’s telecommunications infrastructure. The MoU was signed by Jafer Sadig Abdul Lathiff, SACOFA CEO, and Ignasi Vilajosana, Worldsensing CEO, marking a step toward advancing smart, data-driven solutions in Sarawak.

Through joint feasibility studies and pilot projects, the collaboration will explore and develop practical applications such as infrastructure monitoring and early warning systems, expanding SACOFA’s infrastructure beyond connectivity to support innovation-driven growth and community benefits.

The initiative aligns with the Post-COVID-19 Development Strategy 2030 (PCDS 2030) and the Sarawak Digital Economy Blueprint 2030 (SDE 2030), promoting knowledge exchange and capacity building. These efforts reinforce Sarawak’s position as a digitally connected, innovation-led hub in ASEAN.
